Chapter 17.38 — PUBLIC AND QUASI-PUBLIC ZONING DISTRICT

§ 17.38.010. Purpose: ¶
The public and quasi-public zoning district is used to implement the general plan land use designations of public and quasi-public facilities.

§ 17.38.020. Characteristics Of The District: ¶
The following description of the district identifies the characteristic uses, intensity of uses, and level of development intended for the district. Refer to the development regulations for specific standards applicable to the public and quasi-public (P-QP) district.
A. Public And Quasi-Public Land Use (P-QP): The public and quasi-public district is used to support the needs of the community through governmental, civic, cultural, health, education, and infrastructure uses. These facilities should be located in a manner that best serves the community's interests, allows for adequate transit, bicycle, and pedestrian access to minimize trip generation and maximize community convenience. This designation includes properties owned by agencies such as schools, libraries, fire stations, and privately owned transportation and utility corridors such as power transmission line. In specific locations, mixed use projects may be determined to be consistent with this designation.

§ 17.38.030. Allowed Uses And Permit Requirements: ¶
Section 17.26.040 , table 17.26-1 of this title identifies allowed uses for the public quasi-public district subject to compliance with chapter 17.26 , "Allowable Land Uses", of this title and all other provisions of this title. (Ord. 473 § 3, 2007)
