1.12.010 - Penalty for violations.¶
Unless otherwise specifically provided, any person violating any provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of the ordinances of the county is guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under the ordinances of the county shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Each such person is guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of the ordinances of the county is committed, continued or permitted by any such person, and he shall be punished accordingly.

1.12.020 - Infractions—Penalty.¶
When specifically provided in the chapter which makes any act or failure to comply with any mandatory provision thereof a violation of this code, that such violation constitutes an infraction, then the penalty for such violation shall be a fine not to exceed two hundred dollars. Each day or portion of day that any act or failure to act, that is declared to be an infraction, is continued or permitted shall be a separate violation. Any person charged with or convicted of an infraction shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 19.6 and 19.7 of the Penal Code of the state of California.
