Fairfax Municipal Code Ch. 15.16 Camp Cars and Trailers

For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

CAMP CAR or TRAILER. Any unit used for living or sleeping purposes and which is equipped with wheels or similar devices used for the purpose of transporting the unit from place to place, whether by motive power or other means.

It is unlawful for any person to use or occupy any camp car or trailer for living or sleeping purposes upon any lot, piece or parcel of land in the town.

It is unlawful for any owner, lessee or occupant of any lot, piece or parcel of land within the town, whether for gain, hire, reward or gratuitously, or otherwise, to permit the premises to be occupied by any camp car or trailer used for living or sleeping purposes.

Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to prohibit the parking or storage of any camp car or trailer on the home premises of its owner, as long as the camp car or trailer is not used for living or sleeping purposes.
