§ 25-1. Election that county assess, collect city taxes; effect on treasurer's duties.

(a) The city does hereby elect pursuant to state law that the duties of assessing property and collecting taxes provided by the law to be performed by the assessor and tax collector of the city shall be performed by the county assessor and the county tax collector.

(b) The provisions of subsection (a) above shall not affect the duties of the city treasurer.
