§ 6-8. Authority.

  • Sec. 6-8.1. Creation of Enforcement Authority. There is hereby established in this jurisdiction a building code enforcement agency which shall be under the administrative and operational control of the building official.

  • Sec. 6-8.2. General. Whenever the term or title "administrative authority," "responsible official," "building official," "chief inspector," or other similar designation is used herein or in any of the technical codes, it shall be construed to mean the building official designated by the appointing authority of this jurisdiction.
