El Dorado County Municipal Code Ch. 5.18 Pest Control

A registration fee is imposed by way of resolution of the County Board of Supervisors for the privilege of undertaking State-licensed non-structural pest control activities in the unincorporated portions of the County, including maintenance gardener persons engaged in pest control, as authorized by Food and Agricultural Code §§ 11704 and 11734.

A registration fee is imposed by way of resolution of the County Board of Supervisors for the privilege of carrying out State-licensed pest control advisor activities in the unincorporated portions of the County as authorized by Food and Agricultural Code § 12034.

A registration fee is imposed by way of resolution of the County Board of Supervisors for the privilege of carrying out pest control aircraft pilot activities as a State-licensed pilot in the unincorporated portions of the County as authorized by Food and Agricultural Code § 11923.

A registration fee is imposed by way of resolution of the County Board of Supervisors for the privilege of undertaking State-licensed structural pest control activities in the unincorporated portions of the County, as authorized by Food and Agricultural Code § 15204.

The failure of any person subject to the registration fee provisions of this chapter to register and pay the required fees is a misdemeanor under this Code. Violations are subject to the enforcement provisions of Chapter 1.16.

The following definitions shall apply to all pest control registration fee obligations, unless the context or subject matter otherwise requires:

Agricultural pest control advisor as defined in Food and Agriculture Code § 11410.

Agricultural pest control operator licensee means any person or entity required to possess a State pest control operator license under Food and Agriculture Code § 11401 et seq., for the carrying out of non-structural pest control activities as defined in Food and Agriculture Code § 11403, excluding from this definition the definition categories in this section.

Maintenance gardener pest control category as defined in Food and Agriculture Code § 11704.

Pest control as defined in Food and Agriculture Code § 11403.

Structural pest control operator licensee means any person or entity as defined by Business and Professions Code § 8506 and thereby subject to the State laws (Business and Professions Code § 8500 et seq.) and regulations governing said persons or entities thereunder.
