Chapter 10.24 — SNOW SLEDS

Sec. 10.24.010. - Use on highways prohibited.

Except as provided for in this chapter, it is unlawful for any person to use any form of snow recreation equipment on or over any County highway open to vehicular traffic, including the right-of-way thereof. The term "snow recreation equipment," as that term is used in this chapter, includes, but is not limited to, skis, sleds, toboggans, discs, ice skates and vehicles of a

motorized snow sled type, sometimes known by such terms as snowmobile, Skidoo or any other brand name or type of motorized sled.

Sec. 10.24.020. - Crossing highways.

Operators of motorized snow sleds may cross County highways at any location where it is not otherwise unlawful to do so by pushing or walking the equipment across the highways.

Sec. 10.24.030. - Exemptions.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to motorized snow sleds used by law enforcement agencies or by public or private utility companies or districts.
