18.04.010 - Purpose.¶
This title is enacted for the purpose of adopting subdivision regulations for the city.

18.04.020 - Planning commission—Advisory agency.¶
The planning commission of the city of El Cerrito, state of California, hereinafter referred to as the planning commission is designated as the advisory agency with respect to the subdivisions as provided in the Subdivision Map Act, of the state of California.

18.04.030 - Planning commission—Powers and duties.¶
The planning commission shall have all the powers and duties with respect to tentative and final maps, and the procedures relating thereto which are specified by law and by this title.

18.04.040 - Subdivision committee—Created.¶
There is created a subdivision committee to consist of two members of the planning commission appointed by the chairperson of said planning commission, the city engineer, and the city manager. Such committee shall have the powers and duties as are specified by this title under Chapter 18.12.

18.04.050 - Regulation compliance required.¶
It is unlawful for any individual, firm, association, syndicate, copartnership, trust, or any other legal entity, as a principal, agent, or otherwise to offer to sell, to contract to sell, or to sell any subdivision of land or any part thereof in the city, unless and until all the requirements provided in this title have been complied with.
