10.12.030 - Findings of the director of public works.

The director of public works of the city has caused a traffic survey to be made of existing and projected traffic conditions at certain intersections in the incorporated area of the city, including:

Bell Street and Oakwood Drive;

University Avenue and O'Connor Street;

Newell Road and Woodland Avenue;

Purdue Avenue and Xavier Street;

Purdue Avenue and Hunter Street;

Purdue Avenue and Georgetown Street;

Xavier Street and Tulane Avenue;

Georgetown Street and Tulane Avenue; and

Hunter Street and Georgetown Street.

The director of public works on the basis of the survey has recommended the implementation of the traffic and pedestrian control measures at the intersections as embodied in Section 10.12.040 of this article.

10.12.040 - Director of public works instructed to erect stop signs.

The director of public works shall cause stop signs to be erected at the following locations:

A. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the northerly side of Bell Street at the northeasterly corner of Oakwood Drive and Bell Street to stop traffic travelling westerly on Bell Street.

B. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the easterly side of University Avenue at the southeasterly corner of University Avenue and O'Connor Street to stop traffic travelling north on University Avenue.

C. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the easterly side of Newell Road at the southeasterly corner of Woodland Avenue and Newell Road to stop traffic travelling northerly on Newell Road.

D. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the westerly side of Xavier Street at the northwesterly corner of Purdue Avenue and Xavier Street to stop traffic travelling southerly on Xavier Street.

E. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the westerly side of Hunter Street at the northwesterly corner of Purdue Avenue and Hunter Street to stop traffic travelling southerly on Hunter Street.

F. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the westerly side of Georgetown Street at the northwesterly corner of Purdue Avenue and Georgetown Street to stop traffic travelling southerly on Georgetown Street.

G. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the easterly side of Xavier Street at the southeasterly corner of Tulane Avenue and Xavier Street to stop traffic travelling northerly on Xavier Street.

H. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the easterly side of Georgetown Street at the southeasterly corner of Tulane Avenue and Georgetown Street to stop traffic travelling northerly on Georgetown Street.

I. A "stop" sign shall be erected on the southerly side of Hunter Street at the southwesterly corner of Georgetown Street and Hunter Street to stop traffic travelling easterly on Hunter Street.

J. A "stop" sign shall be erected on Addison Avenue (southbound) at Donohoe Street and on Donohoe Street (eastbound and westbound)
