5.24.010 - Junkyards—Operation restricted.

A. No person shall operate or maintain, or continue to operate, maintain or conduct, any junkyard or wrecking yard or establishment in the city where the dismantling or junking process incident thereto, with respect to any metallic substance, is physically or actually performed or consummated within the city. The wrecking of motor vehicles of all kinds and characters, and in any manner whatsoever, shall be included within the prohibitory provisions of this section.

B. No business license shall be issued to any person violating any of the provisions of this section, and any business license issued shall, upon discovery of such violation, be forthwith canceled and not again renewed unless proper evidence shall appear that all previous violations of this section have ceased and are not continuing, and that any charges in connection therewith have been finally adjudged, determined and settled.
