11.04.010 - Short title.

This chapter may be cited as the "Park(s) Hours Ordinance" of the city of Dunsmuir.

11.04.020 - Open hours.

All Dunsmuir city parks shall be open to members of the public daily from sunrise until sunset. The hours of operation and seasonal closings may be modified from time to time by the city administrator according to climate conditions. Loitering shall be in accordance with Chapter 9.04 of the Public Peace and Welfare Code.

11.04.030 - Prohibited acts.

A. No person may enter, stay in or use any park facilities at any time other than the designated hours of operation, unless a special permit has been obtained from the city through the offices of city hall or the Dunsmuir recreation district.

B. Camping is prohibited in all city parks and related recreational facilities at all times.

11.04.040 - Penalties.

A violation of any provision of this chapter shall be an infraction punishable by a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

11.04.050 - Vehicle access for Tauhindauli Park.

Motor homes or large recreational vehicles, buses and other large trucks are restricted from traveling to the park by way of Stagecoach Road to Upper Soda Road and Blacksmith Hill to River Avenue.

Exceptions to this section shall be any appropriately registered handicapped vehicle (including RV's) or any school buses or tour buses being used specifically for educational purposes must travel on Upper Soda Road and Stagecoach Road only.
