1.02.010 - Seal adoption.¶
The city council shall, from time to time, by resolution, adopt an official seal, as well as emblems or emblem seals to be used on stationery, police, fire and other official vehicles and other equipment and property of the city and for such other purposes as the city council may determine.

1.02.020 - Custodian of seal.¶
The city clerk shall be the official custodian of the city seal.

1.02.030 - Use of reproductions of seal.¶
It is unlawful for any person to use the official city seal, or to use any other seal, emblems or emblem seals adopted pursuant to Section 1.02.010, or to reproduce, copy or create any reasonable facsimile of any city seal, emblem or emblem seals, except as follows:
(a) On official city stationery, which means stationery printed at city expense and bearing the name of the city thereon. The authority granted by this section shall be deemed to include photocopies or other reproductions of official city stationery not exceeding ten reproductions of any individual piece of such stationery, or of several individual pieces containing substantially similar material;
(b) On publications of the chamber of commerce previously approved by the city manager;
(c) On official proclamations issued by the mayor, whether or not previously approved by the city council;
(d) On vehicles and other equipment and property owned, operated or used for official city business, as determined by the city manager;
(e) Impressions of the official city seal on official documents by the city clerk;
(f) On any document, and reproductions thereof, which are issued pursuant to the direction of the city council;
(g) As otherwise authorized by resolution or minute action of the city council.

1.02.040 - Deceptive use prohibited.¶
No person shall utilize any reproduction of the city seal, or of any other seals, emblems or emblem seals adopted pursuant to Section 1.02.010, in such a manner as to cause persons of reasonable perception and intelligence to believe that the document upon which such reproduction appears is an official city document or represents the position of, or a publication of, the city.
