Sec. 15.00.3280. - Wildland-Urban Interface Code—Adopted.

Except as amended by section 15.00.3290, the 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code (Part 7, Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations), without appendices, is hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference as the wildland-urban interface code of the city. A copy of such code has been deposited in the office of the city clerk and shall be, at all times, maintained by the city clerk for use and examination by the public.

The city council hereby designates very high fire hazard severity zones as recommended by the Director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and as shown on the map titled Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones in Local Responsibility Area (LRA) for Diamond Bar, prepared by the Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP), dated March 24, 2025. This map shall be retained on file in the office of the building official and made available for public inspection.

Sec. 15.00.3300. - Penalties for violation of division.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, partnership, or corporation to violate any provision, or to fail to comply with any of the requirements, of this division. Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation violating any provision of this division or failing to comply with the requirements shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000.00 or by imprisonment not exceeding six months or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm, partnership, or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or any portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this division or the code adopted hereby is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm, partnership, or corporation, and shall be deemed punishable therefor as provided in this division.
