Chapter 2.28 — FIRE DEPARTMENT

§ 2.28.010. Created—Composition.¶
There is created and established a Fire Department, consisting of a Fire Chief and such other members as may from time to time be provided for by the Mayor and the City Council. (Prior code § 32.15)
§ 2.28.020. Appointment of Fire Chief.¶
The Fire Chief shall be appointed by the City Manager. (Prior code § 32.16)
§ 2.28.030. Control of department.¶
The Fire Chief shall have the control of the Fire Department and all fire apparatus belonging to the City. (Prior code § 32.17)
§ 2.28.040. Duties.¶
It shall be the function and duty of the Fire Department and every member thereof to extinguish fires and prevent the occurrence or spread thereof. (Prior code § 32.18)
§ 2.28.050. Service outside City.¶
Members of the Fire Department are authorized, in compliance with such mutual aid agreements as the City shall from time to time enter into with other public agencies and municipalities, to go outside of the City for the purpose of rendering aid to other Fire Departments. (Prior code § 32.19)
