Chapter 30.28 - RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY ZONE (RR)

30.28.010 - Purpose.

The RR Zone is designed for that portion of land within railroad rights-of-way, including related structures and uses. The RR Zone allows a continuance of railroad transportation facilities and open space uses above or adjacent to railroad rights-of-way.

30.28.020 - Boundaries.

Property within the RR Zone shall be designated by ordinance to be depicted upon the City zone map.

30.28.030 - Allowable Uses.

Allowable uses in the RR Zone shall include all railroad transportation facilities and related structures and uses, providing a conditional use permit for such facilities and uses has first been obtained and is in full force and effect.

30.28.040 - Reserved.

30.28.050 - Reserved.

30.28.060 - Design Review.

All development in the RR Zone shall be subject to design review by the Design Review Board pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code. In reviewing development proposals in the RR Zone, the Design

Review Board shall consider the proposed project's impact on the open space character of the area and the preservation of views to the ocean from both public and private lands.
