(a) The official seal of the city shall be of the size and form and shall bear the figures and inscriptions set out as follows:

§ 1-13.1. Use of city seal and city logo.¶
(a) Use of the city seal and city logo shall be in accordance with city council policy, to be approved separately.
(b) It is unlawful for any person or entity to make use of the city logo, city seal, prior iterations of the city seal, or any portion, facsimile, mock-up, or reproduction thereof that is an imitation of the city seal, or that may be mistaken therefor, that is designed, intended or likely to confuse, deceive or mislead the public, for private or commercial purposes or for any other purpose than the official business of the city without the express written consent of the city clerk or city manager or their designees under the authority granted by the city council.

§ 1-13.2. Penalties.¶
Any person who engages in unauthorized or unlawful use of the city seal or city logo under Section 1-13.1 is subject to penalties pursuant to Cypress Municipal Code Section 1-7. Nothing herein prevents the city from using any other available civil and/or criminal remedies allowed by law to protect the city seal from improper or illegal use.
