13.24.010 - Automatic dialing into City line prohibited.

No Person Shall install, Use or cause to be Used any telephonic device which is activated electronically to automatically dial a public telephone line of the City.

13.24.020 - Live answering service.

Any automatic telephonic dialing system Shall dial to, and the message Shall be received by, a live answering service, such as a private alarm dispatch center. In no event Shall any automatic direct dialing be Permitted into a public telephone line to the City.

13.24.030 - Installation—License required.

All Persons engaged in Business of this nature Must first obtain a Business License from the City Manager as provided in Section 103A of Ordinance No. 412.

13.24.040 - Installation—Permit—Required—Request review.

No Person Shall install, Use or cause to be Used any telephone device which is activated electronically to automatically dial a telephone within the City without first obtaining a Permit from the Chief of Police or Fire Chief to install and Use such telephonic device. The Chief of Police Shall review all requests for telephonic burglar alarms, and the Fire Chief Shall review all requests for telephonic fire alarms.

13.24.050 - Installation—Permit—Issuance conditions.

Before a Permit May be issued, the Following requirements Shall first be complied with:

A. The current Subscriber of the telephone which contains an automatic device, the telephone number and the location of such telephone Shall be on file at the Police Department of the City.

B. The current Subscriber of the telephone which receives codes from an automatic telephone dialing system, the telephone number, and the location of such telephone Shall be on file at the Police Department and Fire Department of the City.
