Sec. 5-4.01. - Fountains defined.

For the purposes of this chapter, "fountains" shall mean all City-owned public fountains, including the Congressman B. F. Sisk Commemorative Fountain located in the triangular park bounded by Washington Street, Sunset Street, and Ash Street in the City.

Sec. 5-4.02. - Certain acts prohibited.

It shall be unlawful:

(a) For any person to swim, bathe, or wade in any public fountain;

(b) For any person to throw, place, cast, deposit, or dump, or cause to be thrown, placed, cast, deposited, or dumped, any refuse, vegetable, garbage, paper, dead animal, fowl, fish, empty box or carton, glass, crockery, can, newspaper, clothing, rag, filth, or rubbish of any kind into any public fountain;

(c) For any person to destroy, mutilate, deface, cut, scratch, or write upon, or otherwise destroy, mutilate, or injure, any part of any public fountain or any appurtenances thereto; and

(d) For any parent, guardian, or custodian of a minor child to permit such minor to do any act or anything which is prohibited by the provisions of this chapter.
