4.16.010 - Tax required—Computed.

In addition to any other fee or fees prescribed by law, every person constructing any new building or addition or trailer space in the city shall pay to the city a sum computed as follows:

A. For each mobilehome park space, one hundred dollars ($100.00) with no additional sum for any directly accessory structure;

B. For any construction not falling within the definition of "trailer space," one percent of the valuation of the structure as determined for the issuance of a building permit;

C. Notwithstanding any of the foregoing provisions of this section, no fee shall be payable on account of construction of an addition to an existing single-family dwelling, which construction does not exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) in valuation.

D. For each travel trailer space, fifty dollars ($50.00), with no additional sum for any directly accessory structure.

4.16.020 - Fees due at time of permit application—Refund.

Such fees shall be due and payable upon application to the city for a building permit for construction of any building or addition; provided, however, that there shall be a refund of such fees in the event the building permit is not used for such construction.

4.16.030 - Definitions for chapter.

A. The terms "mobilehome park space" and "travel trailer space" shall be as defined in the zoning ordinance of the city.

B. As used in this section, the term "person" includes every person, firm or corporation engaging in construction activities itself or through the services of any employee, agent or independent contractor.

4.16.040 - Taxes collected to be deposited in general fund.

All of the sums collected pursuant to this chapter shall be deposited in the general fund of this city.
