10.32.010 - Parking restrictions.¶
No person shall park any of the following types of vehicles or equipment upon any street, or parcel zoned residential, within the city of Chowchilla unless so designated:
A. Truck tractor which is described as: every vehicle in excess of five tons, and/or designed as used primarily for drawing other vehicles and not so constructed as to carry a load other than a part of the weight of the vehicles and load so drawn, and does specifically include, but is not limited to, truck tractors used to pull semi-trailers, mobile homes and structures, vehicles or tractors. This section also includes flat-bed trucks exceeding the above specified weight limit.
B. Semi-trailer which is defined as "any trailer type vehicle, designed to haul freight, liquids, gases or livestock, and designed and used in such a way that some of its weight rests on a motor vehicle that tows it," and/or has an unladen weight of six thousand pounds or greater.
C. Any bus or similar vehicle designed or used for the transportation of persons having an unladen weight of six thousand pounds or greater.

10.32.020 - Exceptions to Section 10.32.010.¶
A. City, county or state equipment or vehicles;
B. The driving or parking of any commercial vehicle or truck for the limited purpose of making a pickup or delivery as part of a regular commercial transaction, including public utility vehicles;
C. Tow trucks.

10.32.030 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person who shall violate the provisions of Section 10.32.010 of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor which shall be punishable as follows:
A. A fine of fifty dollars for the first offense;
B. A fine of two hundred dollars for a second offense within a twenty-four month period;
C. A fine of five hundred dollars for a third or subsequent offense within a twenty-four month period;
D. Subsequent offenses will be cited upon a separation of twenty-four hours.

10.32.040 - Vehicle removal/storage.¶
A. Any officer of the police department may remove or cause to be removed any truck tractor found to be in violation of Section 10.32.010 of this chapter upon a third violation within a twenty-four month period. Such violation must be associated with the same vehicle or trailer.
B. Costs of such removal shall be the responsibility of the registered owner or vehicle assignee.
