Carpinteria Municipal Code Ch. 3.30 Purchasing System

To establish efficient procedures for purchasing supplies, equipment, and services at the lowest possible cost while ensuring necessary quality, and to exercise positive financial control over purchases through clearly defined purchasing authority, the City of Carpinteria's purchasing system shall adhere to the procurement policy adopted by the city council and set forth in the city's administrative services policies and procedures.
