8.05.010 - Smoking prohibited in county buildings.

All persons are prohibited from smoking in buildings owned by or leased to the county, or in an outdoor area within twenty feet of a main exit, entrance, or operable window of a public building except areas exempted by resolution of the board of supervisors.

8.05.020 - Smoking prohibited in county vehicles.

Smoking in vehicles owned by or leased to the county is prohibited.

8.05.030 - Definitions.

As used in this chapter:

"Building" means an enclosed structure used for human occupation, including, but not limited to, office buildings, shops, garages and barns.

"Owned by or leased to the county" means and includes all buildings owned by or leased to the county, but does not include buildings owned by the county and leased to others except for the space leased to others in the administration building at the county airport.

"Smoking" means and includes smoking or having possession of lit cigars, cigarettes or pipes.

Chapter 1.24 of the county code is not applicable to a violation of this chapter.
