Section 606 — LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS INSTALLATIONS

606.1 General. ¶
The storage of liquefied petroleum gas (LP-gas) and the installation and maintenance of pertinent equipment shall be in accordance with the California Fire Code .
606.2 Location of containers or tanks. ¶
LP-gas containers or tanks shall be located within the defensible space in accordance with the California Fire Code .
606.3 Clear area. ¶
LP-gas storage tanks shall have a minimum clearance of 10 feet (3048 mm) down to bare mineral soil in all directions. Vegetation more than 10 feet (3048 mm) but less than 20 feet (6096 mm) from an LP-gas storage tank shall be fire-smart vegetation.
