302.1 Mixed occupancy buildings. In mixed occupancy¶
buildings, each portion of a building shall comply with the specific green building measures applicable to each specific occupancy.
Exceptions:
- [HCD] Accessory structures and accessory occupancies serving residential buildings shall comply with Chapter 4 and Appendix A4, as applicable.
- [HCD] For the purposes of CALGreen, live/work units, complying with Section 419 of the California Building Code, shall not be considered mixed occupancies. Live/work units shall comply with Chapter 4 and Appendix A4, as applicable.
