§ 66336

Government Code §§ 66310–66342 — Accessory Dwelling Unit and Junior ADU Law · 2026 edition · updated 2026-07-29 · California

  1. A local agency shall not deny an application for a permit to create a junior accessory dwelling unit pursuant to this article due to the correction of nonconforming zoning conditions, building code violations, or unpermitted structures that do not present a threat to public health and safety and that are not affected by the construction of the junior accessory dwelling unit.
