§ 2.00.010. City offices—Location.

The general offices of all agencies, departments, officers and employees of the city shall be located and maintained at 6650 Beach Boulevard. The general offices of the various departments may be relocated to such place as the city manager may from time to time direct, with city council approval.

§ 2.00.020. City offices—Hours of operation—Holidays.

The city offices shall be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as established by resolution of the city council. The hours that the city offices shall be open to the public for business on all other days of the year shall be as established by resolution of the city council.

§ 2.00.030. City bulletin board location.

The Council Chambers Building in the civic center at 6650 Beach Boulevard and such other locations designated by the council are designated as public places at which city bulletin boards shall be erected and maintained by the city for the purpose of posting thereon such ordinances, resolutions and notices as shall be required to be posted by the code, ordinances or resolutions of the city council, or by the laws of the state.

§ 2.00.040. Bonds for city officers and employees.

A. Officers and employees of the city designated by this section shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, cause a bond to be delivered to the city as follows:

  1. The official bond of the city clerk shall be in the penal sum or amount of twenty thousand dollars;

  2. The official bond of the city treasurer shall be in the penal sum of twenty thousand dollars.

B. Each bond shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the respective officers and employees. Each bond shall have a surety thereon a responsible corporate bonding company duly authorized and qualified to do business as such in the state. A blanket fidelity bond executed by a corporate surety company in the same or greater amount may be substituted in the place and stead of any or all of the faithful performance bonds above mentioned, except those of the city clerk and the city treasurer. The cost of such bonds shall constitute a proper charge against the city.
