1.12.010 - Declared.

The mean sea level, as determined by the United States Geodetic Survey, is the datum plane or base line of the city.

1.12.020 - Bench mark.

The official city bench mark or datum plane monument within the city shall be that certain nailhead embedded in a lead plug located in the center of the curb return at the northwest corner of the intersection of Hobsonway and Broadway in the city. Said official city bench mark or datum plane monument shall be known as Bench Mark Number 0, and the elevation of the bench mark shall be accepted as being 266.12 feet above the mean sea level as fixed by the United States Geodetic Survey.
