Chapter 3.32 — PARK AND RECREATION FUND

3.32.010. - Established.

There is established a separate fund which shall be known and designated as the park and recreation fund, in which there shall be deposited only all money received by the park and recreation commission and the city council, or either of them, by donation or otherwise and designated or intended for park and recreational purposes. All expenses incurred for park and recreational purposes, including capital expenditures as well as current operating expenses, shall be paid and disbursed from such fund. All sums which the city council may, in its discretion, from time to time, appropriate from its general fund or any other fund, for park and recreational purposes, shall be first transferred to the park and recreational fund by appropriate action of the city council before being disbursed for park and recreational purposes.

3.32.020. - Receipt of donations and contributions.

The park and recreation commission shall be empowered to receive donations, contributions and other gifts to be used for park and recreational purposes, but all money so received by it shall be deposited in the

park and recreation fund and disbursed from such fund in the manner and form prescribed in section 3.32.010.
