Chapter 13.20 — MILITARY EQUIPMENT

The definitions set forth in Government Code § 7070 shall apply to this chapter.

The city council has adopted a military equipment policy to govern the use of military equipment by the city police department, a copy of which is on file in the police department and the office of the city clerk. In addition, the policy is publicly available on the police department's website.

• Annual military equipment report required; council determination of compliance.

The police department shall submit an annual military equipment report to the city council containing the information required by Government Code § 7072 and the city council shall determine whether each type of

military equipment identified in such report complies with the standards for approval set forth in Government Code § 7071(d).

The city council shall on an annual basis and at a regular meeting review this chapter and vote on whether to renew the adopted policy pursuant to Government Code § 7071(e)(2).
