7-2-301: OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHOUT PERMISSION PROHIBITED:

A. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or permit to be operated any motor vehicle, motorcycle, minibike, trail bike, dune buggy, motor scooter, jeep, or other form of transportation propelled by an internal combustion engine upon the private property of another or upon public property which is not held open to the public for vehicular use, unless such person has in their possession at the time of such operation, the written permission of the occupant or owner of such property.

B. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the occupant, owner, employees, agents, and leasees of such property, and to authorized governmental personnel. (1962 Code § 3-6.2101-4)

7-2-302: WAITING PROHIBITED AT PARKING FACILITY ENTRANCE:

When a parking facility displays signs required by section 4-4-203 of this Code stating "Lot Full" or "Entrance Closed", it shall be unlawful for any person to stop a vehicle on public property in front of the facility for purposes of ingressing to such parking facility. (1962 Code § 3-6.1017)

7-2-303: DRIVING THROUGH PARADES AND FUNERAL PROCESSIONS PROHIBITED:

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle between those vehicles comprising a funeral procession, or those vehicles comprising a parade where such funeral or parade vehicles are conspicuously designated. (1962 Code § 3-6.801)

7-2-304: VEHICLES RESTRICTED TO APPROVED INGRESS OR EGRESS:

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle onto or from any limited access roadway except at such entrances and exits as approved by the City. (1962 Code § 3-6.807)

7-2-305: STOP REQUIRED FOR VEHICLES EMERGING FROM ALLEYS, DRIVEWAYS, OR BUILDINGS:

The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway, or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any alleyway or driveway. (1962 Code § 3-6.703)

7-2-306: DRIVING CERTAIN EQUIPMENT ON PUBLIC STREETS PROHIBITED:

It shall be unlawful for any person to move, or cause to be moved, upon any street, alley or public thoroughfare any equipment which causes scratching, cutting, breaking or other injury to the surface of such street, alley, or thoroughfare without written authorization from the City. (1962 Code § 3-6.810)

7-2-307: OPERATION OF BICYCLES:

Any person operating a bicycle shall comply with the provisions of sections 5-5-8 and 5-6-801 of this Code. (1988 Code)

7-2-308: DRIVING OR RIDING ON SIDEWALKS PROHIBITED:

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive, ride, or propel any vehicle upon any sidewalk, except over a permanently constructed driveway; provided further when there are unusual circumstances necessitating driving a vehicle across a sidewalk at a point other than a permanent driveway for purposes of loading or unloading such vehicle, written authorization may be granted by the transportation/engineering official. (1962 Code § 3-6.804)

7-2-309: REPORT REQUIRED WHEN DAMAGE CAUSED TO PUBLIC PROPERTY:

A. It shall be the responsibility of the operator of any vehicle which is involved in any accident involving any damage to any property owned by the city, any public agency, or any public utility, including, but not limited to, any fire hydrant, parking meter, lighting post, telephone pole, electric light or power pole, tree, traffic control device, or other property of a like nature located in or along any street or alley, to file a written report with the city police department within twenty four (24) hours of such accident.

B. Such report shall state the time and place where the accident occurred, the name and address of the person owning and of the person operating or in charge of any vehicle involved, the license number of such vehicle, and shall briefly describe the property damaged in such accident.

C. The operator of any vehicle involved in an accident shall not be subject to the requirements or penalties of this section during such time as physically incapable of making a report; however, such report shall be made within twenty four (24) hours after such person regains the ability to make such report.
