12.20.010 Food preparation prohibited in certain rooms.

It is unlawful for any person to cook or prepare food, through the use of hot plates or otherwise, or to permit the cooking or preparation of food, through the use of hot plates or otherwise, in any hotel, apartment house or dwelling except in a kitchen or other room designed for that purpose or which meets or is altered to meet City ordinance requirements governing sanitation and the installation of cooking facilities. 12.20.020 Sleeping in certain rooms prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to use for sleeping purposes or to permit the use for sleeping purposes in any hotel, apartment house or dwelling of any kitchen or other room in which food is cooked or prepared or is designed for that purpose, unless such kitchen or other room meets or is altered to meet City housing, building, health and sanitation requirements. (Ord. 3401-NS § 2, 1954)

12.20.030 Violation--Penalty.

Any person violating any provision or failing to comply with any of the requirements of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of an infraction as set forth in Chapter 1.20 of this code. (Ord. 5591-NS § 1 (part), 1984; Ord. 3401-NS § 4, 1954)
