§ 1.18.010. Purpose.¶
This chapter establishes clear rules for publishing City ordinances, resolutions, notices, and other official actions. It authorizes lawful publication methods for municipal affairs and preserves full compliance with state law.

§ 1.18.020. Matters of Statewide Concern.¶
For matters that do not solely concern municipal affairs, the City publishes notices in the manner required by applicable California law.

§ 1.18.030. Municipal Affairs; Publication Methods.¶
A. For matters that solely concern municipal affairs and for which California law does not require a specific publication method, the City Clerk may publish notice by one or more of the following methods:
Publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
Posting in three or more public places within the City designated for official notices.
Posting on the City's official website.
B. The City may use additional publication methods when the City Clerk determines that doing so will better inform the public.

§ 1.18.040. Administration.¶
The City Clerk administers this chapter. The City Clerk may coordinate publication schedules, adjust notice language to meet publication deadlines, and take other actions necessary to implement this chapter in compliance with applicable law, including, without limitation, the selection of the newspaper or newspapers for publication. For purposes of this chapter, "City Clerk" includes the City Clerk or designee.
