§ 8.04.010. Adopted—Copies on file.

The public health code of the County of Los Angeles, the same being Ordinance No. 7583, of the county, as amended through and including February 28, 1998, is adopted as the public health code for the city (hereafter referred to as "health code"). Ordinance No. 97-0071 adopted by the Los Angeles County board of supervisors on December 16, 1997 related to the operation of food establishments and the certification of food handlers is specifically adopted by reference and is made a part of the health code. Three copies of the health code are on file in the office of the city clerk of the city.

§ 8.04.020. Definitions.

Wherever the health code uses the following words or phrases, they, respectively, shall mean:

"County" or "County of Los Angeles,"

the City of Bell; and

"Health Officer" or "County Health Officer,"

the health office of the City of Bell; and

"Person"

as defined in Section 1.04.010 of this code.

§ 8.04.030. Violation—Penalty.

Violation of any provisions of the health code shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or both. Each day during any portion of which any violation of any provision of the health code is committed or permitted, shall be deemed to be a separate offense.
