§ 10.44.010. Repairing or greasing vehicles on public streets.

No person shall construct, or cause to be constructed, repair, or cause to be repaired, grease, or cause to be greased, dismantle, or cause to be dismantled, any vehicle or any part thereof, upon any public street or alley in this city; except for temporary emergency repairs.

§ 10.44.020. Washing or polishing vehicles.

No person shall wash or cause to be washed, polish or caused to be polished any vehicle or any part thereof upon any public street or alley in this city.

§ 10.44.030. Commercial activities prohibited in public streets.

No person shall sell, engage in sale, barter or exchange, of any goods, wares, merchandise or services, in any portion of any public street located within the city. For purposes of this section, "public street" means all of the area dedicated and/or in use for public street purposes and all uses appurtenant thereto and shall include, but not be limited to, roadways, parkways, medians, alleys, sidewalks, curbs, and other public ways. The provision of this section shall not apply to the sale of newspapers or other periodicals from news racks lawfully located in a parkway, and licensed sidewalk vendors conducting business in accordance to Chapter 12.18.

§ 10.44.040. Use of streets for advertising sale of vehicle prohibited.

No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any motor vehicle which has a "For Sale" sign displayed thereon, offering that vehicle for sale, shall park such motor vehicle upon any public street in the city.

§ 10.44.050. Obstruction of streets by trains.

No person shall cause or permit any railway train or railway cars or similar vehicle on rails to stop or stand or to be operated in such a manner as to prevent the use of any street for the purposes of travel for a period of time longer than five minutes, except that this provision shall not apply to railway trains, cars or similar vehicles on rails while blocking or obstructing a crossing because of an accident which requires the operator of the train, car or similar vehicle on rails to stop at or near the scene of the accident.
