10.06.010 - Curb colors.¶
The following curb colors shall only be used within the City, and the colors indicate as follows:
A. Red indicates no stopping, standing or parking, whether the vehicle is attended or unattended, except that bus may stop in a red zone marked or signposted as a bus loading zone.
B. Yellow indicates stopping only for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freight.
C. White indicates stopping for either of the following purposes:
Loading or unloading of passengers;
Depositing mail in an adjacent mailbox.
D. Green indicates time limit parking during the hours or times specified on signs posted therefor.
E. Blue indicates parking limited exclusively to the vehicles of disabled persons and disabled veterans.

10.06.015 - Delegated authority to City Engineer.¶
The City Engineer shall have the authority to evaluate, designate, and implement curb color markings, including but not limited to red (no parking), yellow (loading), white (passenger loading), and other curb markings, as necessary to enhance traffic safety and operations. Such designations shall be based on traffic surveys or engineering studies conducted by or under the direction of the City Engineer. Curb color changes made under this authority shall be enforceable under the provisions of the Beaumont Municipal Code and California Vehicle Code.

10.06.020 - Penalty for violation.¶
In the discretion of the Enforcement Officer, any person violating the provisions of this Chapter 10.06 shall be issued an administrative citation pursuant to Beaumont Municipal Code Sections 1.17.200 et seq., or shall be guilty of an infraction pursuant to Beaumont Municipal Code Section 1.16.010. In either case, the amount of the fine shall be in the appropriate amount set forth in Section 1.16.030 of this Code. Each such violation shall be deemed a separate offense as specified in Beaumont Municipal Code Section 1.16.040.
