15.18.010 - Requirements to provide public restrooms

A. Public occupancies are required to provide restrooms that are available to the public in accordance with the California Plumbing Code section 422 and accessible restrooms for those with disabilities in accordance with CBC 11B and Titles I and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Occupancies with employees required as part of their operations must maintain restroom facilities available for their employees. Any business which cannot provide functioning restrooms for their staff or the public are not permitted to operate or be open to the public.

B. Active construction sites must provide temporary restroom facilities for workers at each project respectively. These facilities must comply with Cal OSHA and Health Department requirements.
