1.24.010 - Issuance of citations by code enforcement officer.

Code enforcement officers of the City of Banning are hereby authorized by the city council, pursuant to Sections 836.5 and 19.7 of the California Penal Code, to make an arrest without warrant for violations of the Banning Ordinance Code, violations of that portion of the California Health and Safety Code specifically authorized to be enforced by a municipality, or a violation of Section 41950 et seq. of the California Public Resources Code.

1.24.020 - Issuance of citations by community service officer.

Community service officers of the City of Banning are hereby authorized by the city council, pursuant to Sections 836.5 and 19.7 of the California Penal Code to make an arrest without warrant for violations of the parking provisions of the Banning Ordinance Code, the parking provisions of the California Penal Code or the California Vehicle Code. They are further hereby authorized to make an arrest without warrant under the above sections of the Penal Code for violations of Section 41950 et seq. of the California Public Resources Code.

1.24.030 - Procedures.

The city manager is hereby authorized to promulgate such policies and procedures as are necessary for the successful implementation of this division.

1.24.040 - Authority to cite for anti-scavenging violations.

Each person authorized by the City of Banning to issue citations for violations of its codes or of the laws of the State of California and, who has successfully completed training pursuant to Section 832 of the California Penal Code, is authorized to issue citations for violations of Section 41950 et seq. of the California Public Resources Code occurring in the presence of such person.
