2.42.010 - General requirements.

For City contractors or lessees of City property or lessors or lessees equipment to or from the City, the requirements for insurance shall be as required in the Central San Joaquin Valley Risk Management Transfer of Risk Procedural Manual.

2.42.020 - Parades.

For parades involving marching, vehicles, bands floats, animals, etc., where streets must be blockaded off to prevent interference between parade traffic and the normal flow of traffic, a special event general liability insurance policy shall be obtained in the sum of $1,000,000.00 and a certificate shall be issued in the form and content as set forth in said Transfer of Risk Procedural Manual.

In no event shall any permit or insurance certificate be required or imposed for the right of assemblage, freedom of petition or freedom of speech so long as all participants obey all pedestrian and traffic laws so as to make it unnecessary to block off streets or intersections so as to prevent interference between parade traffic and the normal flow of traffic.

2.42.030 - Encroachments.

For any encroachment or excavation in a City street, a certificate of insurance shall be required in the same amount and form as pertains to City contractors.
