2.40.010 - Amounts required.

A. The Council shall require official bonds to be furnished by the Finance Director and Treasurer, respectively, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, and shall further require a blanket faithful performance bond covering all other City employees in the amounts listed as follows:

  1. The Administrative Services Director in the penal sum of $25,000.00;

  2. The City Treasurer in the penal sum of $25,000.00;

  3. All other financial and administrative employees in the penal sum of $10,000.00.

B. The City Council may at any time require of the Administrative Services Director and Treasurer such additional sureties as, in the discretion of the Council, it may deem necessary.

2.40.020 - Employees to account for funds collected.

It shall be the duty of all employees of the City receiving money therefore to render to the Finance Director on the first Monday of each month an account of all moneys received by each of them by virtue of his office and to pay the same to the Finance Director and take his receipt therefore; but no employee shall, unless specifically authorized by ordinance or statute, retain from the amount so collected the amount due him for Commission or fees, but he shall pay all moneys received by him to the Finance Director and present a demand in the regular form to the Council for his compensation.
