12.04.010 - Definitions.¶
For the purpose of this chapter, "advertising structure," "signs," "advertising display," "freeway" and "landscaped freeway" shall be defined in Division 3, Chapter 2, Article 1 of the Business and Professions Code of the State, and the same are adopted in this chapter, by reference.

12.04.020 - Prohibited placement.¶
No advertising display shall be placed or maintained on property adjacent to a section of landscaped freeway in such a manner as to be primarily designed or oriented to be viewed from such landscaped freeway.

12.04.030 - Exempt advertising display.¶
The provisions of Section 12.04.020 shall not apply to any of the following listed advertising structures or signs used exclusively to:
A. Advertise the sale or lease of the property on which the advertising display is placed.
B. Designate the name of the owner or occupant of the premises upon which the advertising display is placed or to identify such premises.
C. Advertise the business conducted or goods manufactured, produced, or services rendered upon the property upon which the advertising display is placed.

12.04.040 - Removal of prohibited displays.¶
Any advertising structure or sign which is now or hereafter may be in violation of the provisions of Section 12.04.020 shall be removed within three years from the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter or within three years from the date when the project been completed or accepted and the character of the section or sections have been changed from a freeway to a landscaped freeway, whichever is later.
