Artesia Municipal Code Ch. 14 New Dwelling Units—metering Requirements

Every new dwelling unit shall have the option of being served by separate gas, water, and electric meters. As used in this section, dwelling unit has the same meaning as in Section 9-2.405 of the Artesia Municipal Code and includes newly constructed units and units resulting from a conversion or subdivision of all or a portion of an existing structure. Additionally, for purposes of this section, if a project demolishes an existing dwelling unit and constructs a new dwelling unit in its place, the resulting unit shall be considered a new dwelling unit.
