2637. -

The provisions of this Part shall be suspended and shall not again be of any force and effect so long as Part 5 of Chapter 6 of Article II of this Code is in effect and operative.

The provisions of this Part shall be deemed not to be and not to have been suspended at any time if for any reason it is determined that the City of Arcadia is without power to enact the provision of Part 5 of Chapter 6 of Article II of this Code or that the State Board of Equalization is without power to perform the functions incident to the administration and operation of the taxes imposed by said Part 5 or if the Board ceases to perform the functions incident to the administration and operation of the taxes imposed by said Part 5. Nothing in said Part 5 shall be construed as relieving any person of the obligation to pay to the City of Arcadia any local sales tax accruing by reason of the provisions of this Part 3 prior to April 1, 1956.
