Sec. 26-1. - Nuisance when.¶
It shall be unlawful and a public nuisance for any person or persons to establish, keep, or maintain upon any lot or other place within the city of Alturas, any recreational vehicle as defined in Section 18010 of the Health and Safety Code of the state of California, for the purpose of occupying the same as living quarters, for a period longer than forty-eight hours unless the same is located within a mobile home park as defined in Section 18214 of the Health and Safety Code of the state of California.

Sec. 26-2. - Repealed by Ordinance No. 353, § 1.¶
Sec. 26-3. - Extension by resolution.¶
Upon a finding by the majority of the city council that circumstances exist rendering it necessary to extend the forty-eight-hour time limit set forth in Section 26-1 for the preservation of public peace, health or safety, the city council may adopt a resolution to extend the period of time which a recreational vehicle may be occupied as living quarters outside a mobile home park. The resolution shall specifically state the period of time that the extension shall be effective. The resolution shall also include a provision directing the director of public works to promulgate reasonable rules and regulations requiring the property owner to make adequate provision for water, sewer, electrical, plumbing, setbacks, access and parking and nuisance abatement and for payment of additional residential water and sewer usage. The property owner shall be required to pay a reasonable fee and obtain a permit to be issued by the department of public works, which permit shall not be issued until inspection by the department of public works to verify compliance with the rules and regulations adopted. Only one permit shall be issued for each parcel of land, parcel to be as defined by the Modoc County Assessor's Records.
