18.64.010 Purpose. ¶
The purpose of the —CR commercial recreation combined zone is to provide for commercial retail trade and services at select highway locations for visitors to the county, and to provide proper controls for the protection and development of scenic and recreational areas suitable for intensive use by the general public, such as ski areas or similar resort facilities. (Ord. 453 § 18.01, 1985)
18.64.020 Permitted uses. ¶
The following regulations shall apply in all districts with which are combined —CR districts and shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 18.68 of this title; provided, however, that if any of the regulations specified in this section differ from any corresponding regulations specified in this title for any district or districts with which the —CR district is combined, then in such cases the more restrictive regulation(s) shall apply:
A. Retail shops for the sale or rental of hunting, fishing, skiing, or other recreational supplies or licenses, and the sale of gifts, souvenirs, vehicle fuel and other products primarily intended to serve the traveling or visiting public;
B. Living quarters when accessory to the principal permitted use;
C. Guest cottages;
D. Accessory uses and buildings customarily appurtenant to a permitted use. (Ord. 649 § 1 (part), 2003; Ord. 453 § 18.02, 1985)
18.64.030 Conditional uses. ¶
Conditional uses for which use permits are required in a commercial recreation combined zone are as follows:
A. Ski lifts or tows, boating facilities, riding stables, racetracks or other recreation or resort facilities which may draw any more than one hundred persons or twenty-five vehicles at any one time;
B. Retail sales or commercial services other than those specified under Section 18.64.020 (A);
C. Quasi-public buildings and uses;
D. Campgrounds, organizational summer camps and travel trailer parks subject to applicable federal, state and county regulations;
E. Summer home tracts on U. S. Forest Service lands. (Ord. 453 § 18.03, 1985)
18.64.040 Area, lot width and yard requirements. ¶
Area, lot width and yard requirements shall be those with which the —CR zone is combined unless a use permit is granted by the county to exceed such area, lot width and yard requirements. (Ord. 453 § 18.05, 1985)
18.64.050 Height regulations. ¶
Height regulations shall be those for the zoning classification with which the —CR zone is combined unless a use permit is granted by the county to exceed such height regulations. (Ord. 453 § 18.04, 1985)
