22-9.1 - Districts or Zones Extend to Center of Street.¶
For the purposes of this article all districts or zones heretofore or hereafter established for regulating the use of property shall extend to the center of the street upon which such districts or zones have a frontage, and the same restrictions and boundaries shall apply to the street area in front thereof as apply to the district or zone itself.

22-9.2 - Excavating Street.¶
No person shall excavate any portion of an open public street or avenue in the City of Alameda except for the purpose of grading the same under authority duly had and obtained from the Superintendent of Streets and City Council and no person shall cultivate therein.

22-9.3 - Business Directories.¶
The Public Works Director may authorize the placement of not more than one (1) structure on each side of each block in areas zoned for commercial or industrial use designed to list the location of nearby businesses. He/she may also contract with private parties to maintain such lists.
