2-32.1 - License Collector.¶
The City Finance Director shall be ex officio License Collector.

2-32.2 - Bureau of Licenses.¶
The Bureau of Licenses is hereby created, which shall be composed of the License Collector, City Manager and Mayor of the City.

2-32.3 - Duties and Powers.¶
a. Bureau. The Bureau of Licenses shall have the power and duty to administer Chapter IV and Chapter V in accordance with the terms hereof.
b. Collector. The License Collector shall have the power and duty to regularly and promptly require the licensing of all businesses to which Chapter IV and Chapter V applies and to cause the collection of the fees therefor and the prosecution of all persons violating any of the provisions of Chapter IV and Chapter V.
c. General. The City License Collector, his/her deputies, all license inspectors and employees of the Bureau of Licenses in the discharge and performance of their official duties, and all police officers shall have and exercise the power and duty:
To make arrests for the violation of any of the provisions of Chapter IV and Chapter V;
To enter free of charge at any time any place of business for which a license is required, to demand the exhibition of such license for the current term from any person engaged or employed in the transaction of such business; and
To require the holder of any free license to write his/her signature for purposes of comparison with that appearing on the original license;
To inspect all places of business or other enterprise subject to the provisions of Chapter IV and Chapter V to ascertain whether or not Chapter IV and Chapter V are being complied with. The Collector shall have the power to inspect the books or records of the business or other enterprise subject to the provisions of Chapter IV and Chapter V. The inspection shall be conducted upon the issuance of seven (7) days written advance notice notifying the business that said inspection will occur.
To perform such other duties, in addition to those specifically mentioned herein, as may be designated by the Bureau of Licenses.
