13-55.1 - Regulations of Pits, Wells, Etc.

Every person owning land in the City in fee simple, or in possession thereof, under lease, either oral or written, or contract of sale, who, knowingly, permits the existence on said land of any pit, well, septic tank, cesspool or other opening or excavation, dangerous to persons legally on the land or to minors under the age of twelve (12) years, who fails to cover or fence securely any such opening or dangerous pit, well, septic tank, cesspool or other opening or excavation, and at all times keep it so protected, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
