Alameda County Municipal Code Ch. 10.12 Off-Street Parking Regulations

It is a violation of Section 21113a of the Vehicle Code and an infraction for any person, contrary to the conditions and regulations imposed by resolution of the board of supervisors, to stop, park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, upon the driveways, paths, parking facilities, or the grounds of the county, whether owned or leased, at the locations described in this section:

A. Agriculture Building, 1106 Madison, Oakland.

B. Alcopark (including the ground level outdoor parking area), 165 - 13th Street, Oakland.

C. Health Department Headquarters, 499 - 5th Street, Oakland.

D. Coroner, 480 Fourth Street, Oakland.

E. Welfare Department, 401 Broadway, Oakland.

F. Probation Department, 400 Broadway, Oakland.

G. Highland Hospital, 1411 East 31st Street, Oakland.

H. Juvenile Hall, 2200 Plaza Drive, San Leandro, and on any paved or unpaved roadways, driveways, and ingress or egress routes in and about the juvenile institutions complex.

I. Snedigar Cottages and Classrooms, 2100 Plaza Drive, San Leandro.

J. Boys' Camp, 2500 Plaza Drive, San Leandro.

K. Senior Boys' Camp, 2600 Plaza Drive, San Leandro.

L. Girls' Home, 2300 Plaza Drive, San Leandro.

M. Winton Avenue Building, 224 West Winton Avenue, Hayward.

N. Alameda County Public Works Building, 399 Elmhurst Street, Hayward.

O. Fairmont Hospital, 15400 Foothill Boulevard, San Leandro, and on any paved or unpaved roadways, driveways, ingress or egress routes in and about the Fairmont Hospital complex.

P. Hayward Welfare Building, 24041 Amador Street, Hayward.

Q. 4400 MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland.

R. Elmar Building, 1106 Madison Street, Oakland.

S. Public Defender Building, 530 - 6th Street, Oakland.

T. Central District Health Center, 414 - 27th Street, Oakland.

U. Mental Health Facility, 285 - 17th Street, Oakland.

V. Welfare Division Facility, 10910 East 14th Street, Oakland.

On any off-street parking facility owned or operated by the county, where parking is permitted for a designated period of time and a fee charged therefor, vehicles may be towed, pursuant to this chapter, twenty-four (24) hours after the expiration of the time limited for parking.

The county garage superintendent or his assistant shall immediately notify the appropriate law enforcement agency of the identification of any vehicle found in violation of this chapter and shall cause said vehicle to be removed to a county garage or other public garage. The cost of said removal and subsequent storage shall be borne by the registered owner of the removed vehicle.

The garage superintendent or his assistant shall comply with Sections 22852 and 22853 of the California Vehicle Code relating to notice.

The director of public works shall cause a sign or signs to be placed at each of the parking facilities and public grounds designated in this chapter in plain view, prohibiting unauthorized parking, containing the telephone number of the appropriate law enforcement agency and making reference to Chapter 10.12 of Title 6 of the Alameda County General Ordinance Code.
