    Every single family premise shall make arrangements with the City or the City's solid waste franchisee for organic waste recycling services in compliance with SB 1383 (14 CCR, Division 7, Chapter 12 and amended portions of regulations of 14 CCR and 27 CCR), as it may be amended from time to time.
Sorting organics and green waste
  • Place source-separated organic waste, including food waste, in the organic waste collection container.

    Generators shall place source separated organic waste, including food waste, in the organic waste collection container; place source separated recyclable materials in the recyclable material collection container; and place garbage in the approved garbage collection container.
When carts must come back
  • Remove containers from the right-of-way within 24 hours after collection.
    Applies: Containers placed in a public right-of-way for collection.

    Containers placed in a public right-of-way for collection shall be removed from the right-of-way within 24 hours after collection.
When carts may go to the curb
  • Not more than 24 hours before the normal collection time

Where carts are kept
  • A cart or bin must not be visible from the public right-of-way.
