A. AWARDS ARE SUBJECT TO CONGRESSIONAL APPROPRIATIONS

All awards depend on the availability of appropriated funds. The IRS anticipates awarding LITC grants of up to $200,000 per year to qualifying organizations for the development, expansion, or continuation of an LITC. Given the timing of appropriations, grant funds may not be made available to grant recipients until after the grant year has begun. Figure 2 explains how the LITC Program receives its funding.
